At LAHSS, the curriculum starts with an emphasis on learning basic facts and gradually moves to a detailed understanding of concepts through interpretation and evaluation as students progress to higher classes. It is built around the principles of knowledge, understanding, application, and skillsets: projects and the application of knowledge form an integral part and aid the development of analytical skills.
Our program provides an increased focus on core skills such as reasoning, analysis, research, and leadership, which are fundamental to students’ continued success.
Academic subjects include English, Alternative English, Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences, Scripture, and Computer Science.
We offer intensive individual care and on-going tutorial support. Regular meetings among students, parents, and staff are critical in the success of the High school program at LAHSS. The school provides a supportive and personalized environment that is critical during these decisive years.
Our teachers are not only watchful over academic results but also provide pastoral care assisting students’ emotional development on their path towards the later stages of their education.
